Mission Statement
We are dedicated to helping restore the shattered lives of our military men and women who have returned from war, addressing their mind, body and expression of their spirit.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be this nation's leader in the psychological healthcare for veterans and their families transitioning from the life-changing effects of war by offering quality care.
"Our House" is a caring one...
By addressing an individual's mind, body, and expression of their spirit, we help restore the shattered lives of our military men and women who have returned home from this war, bearing the ill effects of their experience with signature wounds such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
Since 2001, our troops while on active duty have been injured either stateside in preparation of, or during their overseas deployment. Many of these injuries resulted in permanant disabilities. This human tsunami of newly disabled returning military personnel increases as the war continues to expand. We at OHF have been working toward an ultimate goal of building a Model Transitional Community: The Center For Excellence in Springfield, M.O.

Thank you, Bobby!
What a great day! The Springfield Cardinals Game on June 25th was a roaring success! You can see a few pictures of the game here, and view the KY3 news broadcast here. Thank you to all the wonderful veterans and volunteers who came out to support our country's veterans and the Springfield Cardinals!
"Our House" Salute
The Volunteers of the "Our House" Foundation would like to send a very gracious salute out to Mr. Bobby Henline.
Mr. Henline is a surviving veteran who was wounded in Iraq in 2007 and was burned over half of his body. After months of recovery in the Burn Unit at Brooke Army Medical Center, Bobby has turned his pain into laughs for others by performing as a Stand Up Comedian. Thank you for all you have done, Bobby, for us and for your country.
He will be in town June 25th, 2010 for the Springfield Cardinals game against the Tulsa Drillers, where he will be throwing out the first pitch! Don't have a ticket yet? Contact us to get some! We are selling them for $9 per ticket, of which $3 is donated to the "Our House" Foundation.
We will also be honoring Mr. Henline later this year with the "Our House" Foundation's Against All Odds Award.
See you at the ballpark!
Thank you, Walmart!
The staff and volunteers at "Our House" would like to extend a very gracious thank you to the wonderful people at Walmart #179 on West Sunshine. They were able to find it in their hearts to donate $1,000 to our cause! We thank you for sharing our vision and caring about the welfare of our troops.
It is important for the greater community to become involved, and we thank Walmart for being leaders here in our local community. The men and women in our armed forces are sacrificing so much to ensure our safety, and we owe it to them to guarantee that when they return they know that they have not been forgotten. If you would like to follow Walmart's lead, then please find a way to donate, or become a volunteer. If not with us, then with an organization dedicated to the same purpose. These men and women need your support!
